First Post

Hello,

My name is Sabra and I decided to keep a blog about my weight loss and goals for the next year. I have been on NutriSystem since 01/27/2006 and my goal is to lose 80 pounds by 2007. So far this new lifestyle has been great. I already have a lot more energy and feel healthier. I started eating healthier on 01/16/2006 while waiting for my NutriSystem food to arrive. To date, I have lost 15 pounds since 01/16/2006. My goal was to lose at least 20 pounds by June 1, 2006, when my husband and I will be going on vacation to Newport, Rhode Island. It looks like I will definitely meet that goal so maybe I'll try for another 15 pounds by June 1.

The NutriSystem food is pretty good so far and very filling. I have stuck to the plan since I started and make sure to add "free" veggies to my meals to help keep me satisfied. I've tried every other diet imaginable and nothing has worked. I stay away from diet pills because my mom developed heart problems from them and passed away at the age of 46. I have to get this weight off if I want to live a long life. I know I can do it. I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive. I'll try to post daily about the ups and downs that I'm feeling and what I am eating.

For breakfast today, I had bread pudding. I got the recipe off of a NS (NutriSystem) board I frequent. You take the NS muffins, break them up, spray with ICBINB (I Can't Believe it's Not Butter), in another bowl you mix one egg white, a dash of vanilla, some Splenda, Cinnamon, and 1/2-cup skim milk. Pour over the muffins and microwave for 3-5 minutes. It is soooo good.

Well, off to get some work done. I have an eye doctor appointment this afternoon so I'll try to post more later!
